32 weeks down, 8 left to go-but who's counting?!?!

It really pains me to have to post photos of myself and my growing belly......I'm quite picky on how it looks and since my dear sweet husband took a bunch for me-you would think I would post one of them. Nope-didn't like them so here you go-a photo taken in the mirror with a mess behind it! Enjoy!

Anyways, Easter was wonderful. We had some excellent talks given in Sacrament Meeting and then I had to teach in RS. It was a wonderful day to reflect on Christ and what He has done for us. For dinner we ate ham, salad, fresh strawberries and potatoes and lots of Easter candy!

Last week was soooo busy. We had something to do and somewhere to go every night! FHE, cooking class (which was desserts and soooo yummy!), book club (we read Life of Pi-very very interesting), a wedding at the Boise Temple and then the wedding reception the next night! The week went by fast but now I am glad to have things slow down a little.

Since we only have 8 weeks left, you think we should be getting ready? This is my take on the whole baby's coming thing....

now that's MY kind of getting ready! :)

Fun Ultrasound

On Friday, we were able to take a sneak peak of the babe. We had a great time! He was active and moving all around. We checked out his heart and saw that he was practicing breathing by watching his lungs. It was pretty cool. We also got to see him yawn. I thought that was so neat!

As he was moving, he grabbed his toes with his hand and we were able to get a picture of that. I don't think I can reach my toes anymore! In the photo, you can see he has his whole hand around the toes. Crazy huh!
It was a fun day, I'm glad that Toby works at the hospital and knows the people in the Echo Lab. We've had so much fun having the ultrasounds done! I know that this doesn't happen all the time and I am grateful that they would take the time to check out our baby. We've been able to go in 3 times and see the different stages and watch him get bigger. I am amazed every time I see him and watch him move. It's crazy to think that there is life inside my belly. What a wonderful change and blessing he will bring to our family.

Mr. Rock Man

Here's the rock man as a leprechaun for St. Patrick's Day. It's fun to see how they will dress him up. I made Toby shamrock cookies and took them to work, roll out cookies are always sooooo good to eat! Hope you had a fantastic St. Pat's Day! :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yesterday we celebrated St. Patty's day a little early. We went to Heidi and Heather's house and Annie made us Corned Beef and Cabbage. They're in our ward. It was a fun night! We celebrated Heidi Peterson's birthday as well. I made a 3 leaf clover cake for dinner and it was super cute! We put candles in it and sang to Heidi. The dinner was awesome and we stayed playing games and just talking. It's been so fun to be in the singles ward, I really like the people in it. I hope we stay till Toby graduates in August.

Today I'll be making Toby cookies to take to work. I'll post photos of them and the rock man. He was dressed up for Valentine's Day and now he is a Leprechaun! Hope you all wear green so you don't get pinched!

Shopping at the dreaded Wal Mart

I have a love-hate relationship with Wal Mart. Their prices are great but the people are not.....Anyways, I went out yesterday to go grocery shopping and I actually had a pleasant experience! I was waiting in the massively long line to pay for my stuff when an elderly couple lined up behind me. The babe was kicking really hard or I was experiencing a Braxton Hicks contraction (either way, it was not a pleasant feeling) and so I had my hand on my belly to give pressure. They started to talk about babies and tell me all about their grandkids. Very nice couple. As we were talking, the grandpa started to unload my cart! He said, "Here, let me help you." I had bought a bunch of yogurt and other small items and it was hard to bend over and reach in the cart for them. Isn't that soooo nice?!? I have never had someone do something nice like that. Usually it's unwanted advice or someone trying to touch my belly! I thought it was very sweet of them. I left feeling much better than when I entered the store.

This photo is actually how I am feeling lately. I have a nasty cold and a sore throat to add to the list.
10 weeks left/68 days to go. Oh boy.....not much longer now!
Last night we had a baby basics care class. Not much I didn't already know, but it makes it much more real when you watch your husband change a doll's diaper....... :)

Can I blame it on Pregnancy Brain?!?

Well, I missed my flight. I was supposed to fly home from Spokane on Saturday and all morning I talked about how we needed to leave at 12:30 to make my 2pm flight.....we got to the airport at 2. Hmmm. What the heck? How did I mix up the times and miss my flight?!? I can only blame it on Pregnancy Brain. I'm sure it's real. The workers at Southwest told me that if I ran to the gate, they might hold the plane. I'm 7+ months pregnant.....I'm not running. Plus I had to go to the bathroom. So, they had pity on me and changed my flight without making me pay the penalty fee. All this while laughing at me. Oh well.
I ended up getting a flight on Sunday and things worked out. I was able to go the ward party and then go and see John and Allison who were visiting from Vegas. Plus, Mom and I were able to work on more baby blankets. It was a fun evening.
Still, who misses their flight??? I had printed out my boarding pass and was all ready to go. Just for the 3pm flight, not the 2pm one. :)

Pictures from my trip are coming soon. I forgot to make a picture cd so Mom's sending them to me. I'm excited to post the baby stuff we created!

chillin' with the fam

I decided that I better come home to visit before I'm too far along and can't travel so I came up to Spokane on Thursday. We've had so much fun! The girls all screamed at the airport when they saw me because I finally had a baby bump. It was pretty funny.

We went to Katie and Megan's Shakespeare play, As You Like It at school. Katie had one of the leading roles and did such a great job. Megan also did quite well.

We've made cookies and played games last night with the Walker's and Grady's. I love to come home and visit all of my family.
The best part is that Mom and the kids have been able to feel the baby kick and move around. Dad and Andrew aren't too interested in feeling him though.....but that's okay. We have also gone shopping which is always fun! It's great to be up here with the fam.
