Busy week and going crazy

This week has been sooo busy! I can't believe it's already Thursday.

Monday was FHE with the singles, we played dodgeball....I just watched. The last thing I want is to get hit in the belly! Toby had a good time but now I have heard nothing but complaints from him. "My back hurts." "My arms are sore." Poor baby-he's sore from dodgeball! :) Cute kid.

Tuesday was our baby class. Oh boy-we saw a video of a live birth. Why were all the women naked???? I WILL NOT BE NAKED when I give birth. I can't stand to be naked anyways, so it will be tough to just wear the stupid hospital gown. The video was pretty good, a little gross. There was a lady in the class with us who was freaking out. She did not want to give birth and when she saw the baby's head crown, I thought she was going to pass out. It was pretty funny and made me feel better. That's mean, but at least there is someone more nervous than I am to give birth! All I can say is please, please, bring on the drugs.
We also practiced the breathing techniques.....Toby made fun of me the whole time. "he he he whooooo"

Wednesday was Toby's day off. We went to Costco and saw the eye doctor, spent all our money and ate lunch. Then we headed over to Boise State for the Job Fair. Didn't see anything that peaked our interest. Next it was off to our storage place to put more crap in from our spare bedroom and what happens??? Our radiator fluid leaks out of the car. Just lovely.....drive it to the car place to find out the lid was loose and created a volcanic effect. No big deal, car is fine. SO THANKFUL! Most of you know that both of our lovely cars are lemons.... and that we have quite the car stories.......someday we'll get our Lexus'! :)
Last was our ward's temple night...Toby and I were the only ones to show up! Oh well, it was a wonderful night and well needed.

Tonight is my cooking class and Toby has school. I am learning about pastas. VERY EXCITED! I LOVE pasta. I'll be sure to post the recipes on the fam cooking blog. Jothan is an amazing cook and I am glad that he is teaching these classes.

As for this weekend, Toby is on call on Friday and Sunday and then has class all day on Saturday. I am making him Brasilian Beans and Rice for his class bc he is doing a presentation on Brasil. Fun stuff. I feel like a Room Mother. (side note-ever since going to Brasil, I spell it their way, not the way we do. Brazil/Brasil-weird huh) As for me, I'll be finishing up any chores I didn't do and then I think I'll scrapbook. I haven't done that forever and I made a goal to get my high school and Toby's high school finished before the baby comes.....I'd better get started!!

NOW FOR THE CRAZY

This morning at 7:20, I was rudely awakened by my bed shaking!!!! MY BED WAS MOVING......It freaked me out bc I had no idea what was going on. I looked at our ceiling fan and the pully thing was also moving. I didn't have a clue what was going on. I then went back to bed only to be woken up again when Toby called and he told me that Nevada had had an earthquake and that we felt here in Boise!!! I wasn't CRAZY, my bed really was MOVING. I've never been in an earthquake and even though it didn't happen here, it was the strangest feeling to be moving when you know you're not supposed to be......insane.

Now I'm off to Wal Mart to do some grocery shopping. That's also a crazy place, wish me luck.

I usually make Toby a treat for the holidays and bring them into work. So, being Valentine's Day, I made him cookies! Aren't they cute?! The Cath lab loves to have food brought in and these are always gone by noon.

Who said I love you first? Tobster did-I did right after. I just had to wait for him to say it first.

Who drives? Both. Long drives, totally Toby. If not, he can be a pain....like a little kid. "Are we there yet???" "Can I drive???"

Who kissed who first? Toby kissed me...it wasn't pretty. We worked on it. Now it's fabulous!

Who asked who out first? I asked him. Went to the movies, dinner and sledding. He chose the sledding part.

Who proposed? Toby did that. I knew he was going to do it bc he was sooooo nervous all day and all night. Just get it over with! He knew I was going to say yes. :)

Who wears the pants? We both do. We work pretty well as a team. He's such a stud. I love you Toby! Happy Valentine's Day.

Cupid

We have this rock man at the base of our road.....don't know why exactly, they choose to build him. But, he's there. During the winter, he had ski poles and I thought that it was pretty cute and I should've taken a photo. Well yesterday, Toby and I went for a walk (it was SUNNY and 48 degrees!!!!!!) and we noticed that Rock Man had been changed to Cupid. Enjoy.

I just keep growing.....

At Christmastime, I wasn't showing (unless I stuck out my guy-pretty easy to do) and now, all of a sudden--I think I have a huge belly. I know, I'll be in my third trimester on Monday, so there should be some sort of belly, but come on!

two quick laughs

1. We live in a downstairs apartment....meaning you go down a few stairs to get to our place. Simple. Saturday night, coming home from Blockbuster, Toby and I are walking to our apartment and what does Tammy do? She walks UP THE STAIRS.....what the heck?!? Toby looks at me and says, "Tam, what are you doing?" I couldn't even come up with anything to say. Who knows why I was walking upstairs. And we've lived here for a year and a half. hmmm.....blaming the baby.

2. I teach Relief Society the second Sunday of the month, meaning yesterday was my day to teach. This conversation was overheard in the bathroom by my friend Kristen and then told to me. he he.

Girl to Friend- "The cute counselor’s wife is teaching today........ I mean the counselor’s cute wife!"

Glad to know the singles think Toby is cute....or me.

Ashlie and Chris

I took Ashlie and Chris' engagement photos last weekend. The weather could not have been crappier.....bright sun, tons of snow, wind like Rexburg's and freezing temps. Oh well. The photos turned our great and they seem happy. Ashlie is in our singles ward. They are getting married in March. Want to see more??? Click here.

100 days left....let the countdown begin!

25 1/2 weeks down, 14 1/2 weeks left

I had to put in the 1/2 weeks to make myself feel better.....

Went to visit Toby at the hospital today and was able to sneak in for a fun ultrasound. The baby was moving around the whole time and it was so cool to see him kick on the screen and feel it in my belly. Very crazy stuff. We did get some photos, but they're not too clear. Here's one of his face. His nose looks smashed because of the way the probe was on my belly. I did write out where his hands and head was (just in case there are a few of you who can't seem to see anything from an ultrasound photo). We'll go back when I'm 30 weeks to get another photo.
Oh ya, we did see the goods--it's still a boy. Also, here is two long waited belly shots. Now, they're not the greatest because I TOOK THEM on the TIMER. Toby (of course) got called in tonight and wasn't able to help me. I had gone to a cooking class and by the time I got home, he had left for work. So this will have to do until I get some better shots. Hopefully that will happen tomorrow. Anyways, I'm not as huge as I look on camera.... Sorry for the blurry/out of focus and cut off faces. I did my best. At least you have proof that there is a babe in there!


Oh ya, last night I was in the bath and I saw my belly move. It was the weirdest thing in the world. I have never seen the baby move, only feel him. I felt like I had an alien in my body and it was trying to get out. That's crazy isn't it!??!?!

Sick of the COLD!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I don't have it as bad as others do (Rexburg) but I am sooo sick of the wind, ice, snow, and freezing cold days.....

February already!?!?!?

I can't believe January is already gone! Time seems to be flying by....It's already February 1st.

Had my doctors appointment yesterday and everything seems to be just fine and dandy. At the end of this month, I'll start to go every two weeks! Crazy isn't it?? Only 15 1/2 weeks left and then this little babe will be here. That's really not too far away. I'm starting to want to get everything all ready. I did pretty good a few weeks ago cleaning out closets and what not, but now I need to focus on the spare bedroom. A small corner will be dedicated to the babe. We have too much stuff-we need a house!

Pictures will be coming soon. I've waited long enough to show the bump, but now it's starting to get bigger! I'll have to have Toby take some when he gets home from work today or this weekend. I'm sure you are all dying to see how fat (I mean belly big) I've gotten!

Next week, I'm going to the hospital to get an ultra sound done. The people who did my ultra sound (heart ultrasound peps in the cardiac unit) and told me it was a girl feel like they need more practice, so I told them I'd love to have more photos of my baby! They were shocked to know it was a boy not a girl. Oh well, it's all good!
