That's how we roll....

This here is my Doctor Rocker Cop.  Think I'll be safe AND healthy with him around.  Don't have many dress up clothes, so this is all we had.

 Rockin' out.

Sick little Blue.  He REFUSES to hold his own bottle.  We are weaning.  Such a lazy baby when it comes to drinking his bottle.

Happy Love Day!

We were pretty low key this year--I didn't even decorate!  That's unusual for me, because I always decorate for Valentine's day.  I love the holiday.  Not the mushy parts, but the red and pink and cute hearts.  The only decor I had out was the new Valentine plate my Mom and I made when she was here visiting.  Guess I'd better do better next year.

We did however, sneak over to Daddy's work and decorate his car!  The boys and I cut out hearts and wrote things that we loved about Toby and put them all over his car.  The boys loved this and it was super easy.

I can't for the life of me-get my boys to stay still to take a photo.  It was this one or an even more blurry one of them both jumping and screaming.  Oh well.  We wanted to have a photo of Daddy and his car.  I think we made him happy.  I also had cookies all decorate for him too.

We've never gone out for the big night, we usually do something like heart shaped pizza (we had that Monday night) but we this year we did yummy steaks on the grill for dinner!  Mashed potatoes, lobster bisque, Cesar salad and hot fresh bread from the over.  Yum!!!  It was a great Valentine's day.

Valentine's Cookies

Sugar cookies sure are a pain in the butt to make.  But they are so dang yummy.  I love decorating them and am enjoying getting better and flooding my cookies.  I still don't like royal frosting so they aren't shiny, but that's okay.  They sure are tasty!

I tried making hearts with a toothpick.  Not bad for my first time!  You just make dots and then drag the toothpick thru them.

Also love the herringbone cookies too.

Happy Valentine's day!  Good thing I only make these cookies on holidays--they don't last long around our house.

Family Go Fish

We are reaching the point where Dallas wants to play games.  We have been playing memory for a while now, and just recently he learned how to play "Go Fish".  It's been fun to explain how to play and to watch him get so excited when we have what he needs---or when we don't and he has to "go fishin'" as he calls it.

I decided to make a family version of the game and we played it today for the first time.  I started out by making wallet prints of our family photos.  I used some digital scrapbook paper, put our photos on it and also our names.  Had them printed at Costco which prints 4 wallets to a page and that was perfect.  I also made a back as well.  Then I glued them all together, cut them out and I laminated them (I have a small machine-love it.  Guess it's the teacher coming out in me) and now we have our own version of go fish!  I am in the process of making one of Toby's family as well.   Dallas was so excited to get his own photo and to see that we included Annie Dog as well!

photos from phone

We went sledding one night and didn't bring the camera so these are from Toby's phone.  Here we are with the bears.
Blue all bundled up and in his own sled!  Toby took him down the hill and he did pretty good.  I was a bit nervous but he seemed to still be alive when they were done!

Little stinker-good thing he's so cute!
Dallas and Toby going down the hill.  The lake didn't completely freeze over this year.  There was one spot that they had to be careful about.  You slid right down to the lake.
Love this cute boy.  Can't believe he'll be 9 months soon!
