James Taylor

I had James Taylor playing this morning and Dallas runs in to tell me that he "Knows this man!  He's a great singer, Mom!"

Melts my heart.

I played JT all the time when I was pregnant with Dallas.  After he was born, if he was cranky or I couldn't get him to sleep I would rock him to James.  He would calm down right away and still does to this day.  His favorite song is Sweet Baby James.

Music is amazing.  I love James Taylor.

**Did you know that we named Wes after him?  Wesley James.

OuCh!

Huh....not much brotherly love coming from the D man.  He didn't want to get in the tub today.  He had already got dressed and was ready for the day.  I should've taken a photo of his dressers.  He took out every single shirt looking for this Cars one.  I was so mad.  I had just folded and organized all his clothes and then he took everything apart.....guess I should be happy that he can dress himself.

Check out his ear!  Ouch!  He fell off the couch and hit his ear on the side table.  It looked much worse two days ago.  Poor kid.  I told him his ear was blue and he didn't believe me so I had to take a photo.
I am amazed we have only been to the E.R. once.

Poor boy.  He slept with an ice pack for two days.  It hurt him to touch it and get dressed.  Now he thinks it's cool to have a blue ear.  Glad he didn't bust anything!

BSU vs. U of U

We went to the Boise State vs. University of Utah basketball game on Wed night.  I'm not a lover of basketball, but love to be with my family so it was a win-win.  We watched the game and got nachos and pretzels.  It was a fun family night!

I didn't take my camera, so these are from the phone.  Not great, but captured our fun night.

holding the phone and trying toget our whole family.  Missing the Wes-a-Mess.

Our crazy family of 5!

Sweet

Walking into Costco, Dallas is holding my hand and looks up to me and says, "Mom, I love our family" and then kisses my hand.

Love.  So grateful for my little boy.

Reading Books

The boys sure love to read books.  I hope they will always love that!  We read together every night and it is one of things I love to do with them.  I can't wait till the get a bit older and I can start reading novels to them.  Box Car Children, Hardy Boys, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle......

Looking at a search and find Cars book.

Dallas helping Wes find something.

Mornings like these are ones I cherish!

Thankful FHE

 Dallas' Turkey

Wes' Turkey (Dallas made up for Wes' lack of feathers......)

Cute little happy turkeys.

I'll add photos of our night when Elizabeth sends them to me.  Just wanted to jot down my thoughts.

We went over to Tory and Elizabeth's for FHE tonight and I taught a quick (we have a 5, two 3's, an almost 2, two almost 1's and one 6 month old.  that's 7 babies 5 and under....) really quick lesson on giving thanks in all things and then we decked out our turkey with drawings/writings on what we were thankful for.

Then we made cute little turkeys out of toilet paper rolls and the adults wrote a thank you card with a list of things that we were thankful for, to our spouses.  It was a great night and we love spending time with family.  The boys were a bit crazy and poor Michelle has to calm them down, being the only girl in the bunch!

It was a great way to start off our week and get ready for Thanksgiving.

Turkey Bingo/Matching

Found this cute idea off of Pinterest.  It came from a blog called, Learning and Teaching with Preschoolers and I thought Dallas would have a lot of fun with the game.  That blog has great ideas for toddlers and it made me miss teaching!  Although I don't miss all the drama of my crazy love stricken high schoolers.  :)

I made a turkey and feathers and then laminated them and we had a great time matching colors and making the turkey beautiful!
For FHE we're writing things we are thankful for with dry erase markers on the feathers.  Since I laminated them, we can write and wipe off.

I made feathers and put them on cardstock so we could match colors.  And that way, Dallas could help call out the colors too.  Fun Thanksgiving game.

Mobile Photos

And this is why my house is never clean.
Little people follow me around with little cute fingerprints and touch everything.....

shopping fun.

Little Bit of Thanksgiving Decor

I love Fall.  Halloween in my favorite holiday and I love to deck out the house for that.  Then I like to keep it a little low key for Thanksgiving and just have a few things out.  I made this little plate and it turned out pretty cute.  Could've made the lettering a bit bigger and same with the leaves, but oh well.  Still cute.

Sweet little pilgrim peeps that my Mom got me.

Love having a piano to decorate!  (ESP SINCE WE STILL HAVE OUR TV ON MY COFFEE TABLE AND THEREFORE HIDING MY BEAUTIFUL FIREPLACE MANTLE......) that was for Toby-if he reads this blog.

One of my favorite things for Thanksgiving.

I have a bit more, but this is what I was able to quickly snap a photo of.

Shopping Carts!

No need for girls to us to have a shopping cart!  I bought an old playskool one at a resale shop this summer.  They are made much better than the new ones.  Nice hard plastic and it won't brake when jumped on/filled with all manner of things/run into walls-chairs-legs-couches-ect....

Brought it home and the boys were in love.  Until they realized that I only had bought one.  I would've thought that they could share, but this is a precious toy and there was no way they were sharing.  So, off to Craigslist to find another.  Luckily I did find one and now both boys have a shopping cart.

Long story-but here is what we like to do with our carts.

 Push Harrison around.
Luckily they are very sweet with the baby and he has yet to fall out.

And now Wes wants a ride.  So much for getting two shopping carts-I should've had two babies!!!

jumperoo

We pulled out the jumperoo thing for Blue.  He LOVES it and so does his brothers.  They were all playing so cute together....until I got my camera out.
Then Wes was screaming because Dallas took his stool and Dallas was mad since Wes was in the bumbo-so no cute photos of three boys playing nicely together.

I'm sure Blue was thankful he was in the jumper and a bit safe from his brothers.

They sure have fun playing/trying to kill each other!

6 Months!

What an absolute JOY it has been to have Blue in our family.  He is 6 months old today.  We'll go in to the doc next week for his 6 month check up.  He is such a happy baby.  Sleeps through the night, loves food and ADORES his older brothers.  I have been trying to focus on enjoying my children more and not just trying to get through the day to day "stuff"  and things that need to get done.  I know that this life is short and children grow up fast.  I need to cherish these sweet babes while I have them at home with me!

I can always count on him to make me smile and he loves to cuddle!  He is my most cuddly baby by far.  It has been fun to dress him up in Dallas' and Wes' clothes and I've hardly bought him anything.  Grateful that he doesn't care.  :)

I snapped these this morning after his bath.  Just quickly put him on my bed under a blanket.  He was getting tired and ready for a nap, but I got some cute ones.  So grateful for the ability to take photos whenever I want.

I added two of the same photo-couldn't decide if I liked black and white or color better!  He loves to put everything and anything in his mouth.  Silly kid.  I sure love you Harrison!
Happy 6 Months little Dude!

Awesome Steelers etching I did at our church's craft day.  Isn't it cool?!?!

little bit of halloween decor

Just wanted to put up a few photos of my decor.  Didn't take photos of everything, but at least now I can remember what I did.
I love Halloween.  My favorite holiday.

Found these at Jo Ann's.  They were cling on's that the kids could color.  Too cute.
