Fruit Bars

We had these delicious fruit bars from Costco and I was trying to share mine with Dallas.....he was having nothing of it! The kid knows what he likes and he did not want to share. Check out these photos.

Big bite!
Mmmmmm. Silly kid.

McCall--quick vacation with the fam

My family had their vacation in McCall this year and we were able to go and spend 2 days with them. I wish that we could've stayed longer, but Toby had to work. We stayed at the Worldmark Resort that my parents are a part of-it was so nice. It was the same place that Toby and I stayed at for our 4th anniversary.

We spent one of the days up at Brundage Ski Resort. I had never been there before and it was so pretty! We put Dallas in the hiking pack and he did really well. We rode the chair lifts up and I was so nervous! Dallas sure is a wiggle worm and I was worried the whole way up, but he did really well. He just pointed to everything and sat still. I think he was a little bit unsure of what we were doing.

The mountain heather is so pretty! The area was really green and that was a nice sight to see.

The view from the top. You couldn't even see the bottom! We were up quite high. I am afraid of heights and was glad to get off that chair lift. I think I have changed since being a little girl. I don't remember being as afraid of them when I was younger.

The fam, minus Dad who was taking the photo.

Family shot

Megan, Dad, Melissa, Andrew, Katie and Mom

Dad and Mom

Dallas was sooo tired! He fell asleep (which he never does, except in the car) on Toby's back and stayed that way till we got down the mountain. It was easy keeping a sleeping baby safe on the chair lift down.

Looking up at the Ski Lodge. For the rest of the afternoon, we walked around town and went shopping. We also got ice-cream which was so yummy! It was a nice day to be outside.

The next day we spent at the lake. We rented jet skis and that was so much fun! Katie and Andrew posing for the camera.

Megan burying Melissa and making her into a mermaid. Dallas had to help. He had so much fun playing in the sand and water. I think he had sand coming out of his diaper for a week! I had to keep telling him NOT TO EAT it.

Then, Megan buried Dallas! He would sit really still, but then wiggle his toes. I was amazed at how long he sat there. Must have liked the warmth of the sand on his wet body.

Mom and Tammy

Megs and Dallas. He sure loves his aunts. When we got home, he kept looking for them after he woke up.

Dad and Katie on the jet ski. Dad's a pretty crazy driver so not many of us were brave enough to go with him. The water was pretty choppy and when I went out with Toby, we had to go slow! Every bump we went over made me have to go to the bathroom. Plus, I was a little bit concerned since I am pregnant. Didn't want to go too fast or get thrown overboard. Still, it was fun to drive and the lake sure is beautiful.

Toby and the girls. They had a great time.

Mom and Toby.

Andrew and Dallas just chillin'. They have become quite the buddies. Andrew has given him the name of "Big D" and Dallas loves to be with him. He also loves Andrew's longboards and Andrew will let him sit on them and touch the wheels. Just what Dallas loves!

We had such a great time playing games, eating good food and just hanging out. I am glad that they choose to come to a place that wasn't far from us! I wish we could've stayed longer, but at least we got to go and visit. We always have a crazy time with the family.

To see more photos after we left, check out my Mom's blog. We had a great time, wish we could've stayed longer.

Pool Time!

Love this! Megan and Melissa were watching him and let him play in the water.....look at how full his diaper got! So glad we have swim diapers. I could barely get his shorts off! He sure is making a sour face. I don't think anyone would want to sit in that diaper.

We went swimming and had a great time. Melissa loves the water.

So does Megan! I'm glad that we all love to swim. I could swim all day and hope to have a pool in my backyard.....someday. :)

Doesn't he look cool in his glasses?!? Not crazy of the photo of me, but had to document that I'm in some of the activities! Good thing Mom's around to take the photos.

Mr. Cool Dude

Dallas with his favorite buddies. He was not happy about having to stay in the float. He thinks he can swim and wants to be free. If only he knew that he would drown! Silly boy. I'll get him in swimming lessons soon enough.

Giving Grandma Love kisses. They are the bestest friends. Sometimes he won't come to me when she is holding him. That means true love!

Smile! Glad that it was hot enough to spend time at the pool. Sometimes Spokane summers can be kind of chilly. We always have a great time when we come home.

Eating Cheetos and Praying

While at home, Mom snapped this photo as were going to say the morning prayers. Dallas is FAMOUS for not looking at the camera so check this shot out!!! He actually closed his eyes on accident and it looks like he is praying. Too funny and cute.

Eating Cheetos. He has found a new favorite. Too bad he gets orange stuff EVERYWHERE!!!!

"MMMMMMmmmmmm" That is what he says for all things yummy.

Annie will sit by his seat every meal, hoping he would drop some food. Which he did all. the. time. I think it became a game to him.

Kate and Dallas. He can be such a punk. Smile when the camera is not there, and look all serious once I snap the photo.

Spray Paint in Spokane

I had a great time at home just relaxing. We spent some time with the Walkers which was extra special because Jessica was home! We went to the lake and I'll have to post those photos once I get them from Jess. Other than that, we didn't take all that many pictures. It was great to have extra hands to help with Dallas. Most mornings I didn't even get up with him! The girls would take turns coming and picking him up. This was so helpful because I was able to sleep in a little bit. Oh how I miss my help when I go back home. Plus, Dallas really misses his playmates.

We worked on some projects and Mom fixed my pregnancy pants. This was a major plus, because I'm not the best seamstress. I like the full belly panel because my stomach is always tender so Mom will put in a full panel on all my maternity clothes. This makes my life much more comfortable! Thanks Mom for all your help.

We also worked on Dallas' quiet book. I guess I should post some of those pages. I bet it will take me forever to get the book done since I am such a perfectionist when it comes to things like that. Too bad I can be like that about my house! It would be in perfect working order all the time...... :) :)

One of the projects we did was spray paint.....

Mom bought these stars to go with the old fashioned photos that we had taken. She didn't really love the ugly brownish color so I suggested we spray paint. I have seen that craze take off-everyone I know is spray painting something! We tried it and it looked so much better! We changed to brown to black and it looks great with the frames.
The finished look.

Changing it over to black.

Mom with the star.

Yea for trying something new! I can see why people are loving spray paint. It can change something so quickly for a cheap price. I have some things that I would love to change. Maybe all they need is a good coat of spray paint. We had a fun time doing this!

Sun City Carnival Tour

We went to Kenny Chesney's concert on Tuesday night and it was SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! I love country music and Kenny Chesney is on of my favorites. He did such a great job and we had a blast.

Lady Antebellum was one of the opening acts and they are such a great new group! The three songs that are most recognizable are, "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," "I Run to You," and "Looking for a Good Time." I love their songs and were super excited to see that they were opening for Kenny. I did get some videos, but they aren't that great. It's hard to take in my little camera and expect the photos that my nice Nikon gets. But-you get the idea.
She has a great voice and I was amazed that she was singing and dancing around in super tall heels. I can barely wear heels for church!

This was Miranda Lambert. She was the next opener. I'm not a fan so I took the time to use the restroom. They of course were full and long story short-I was able to sneak into the guys restroom (there were stalls) because they took pity on me being pregnant. There were more girls in there than guys. Whatever gets the job done.
The only song that Miranda sings that I like is "Gun Powder and Lead" so I did enjoy that song. Other than that, she's just a little too twangy and rocky for me.

Wahoo!!! I was getting so excited in my seat. I love going to concerts and hearing the songs that I sing and dance to at home. His stage was huge and even though we didn't have the bestest seats-they still beat the nose bleed and we had a pretty good view.
And the lights go off!!! Music starts to play......

There he is! Toby and I debated on what he was going to wear. I won-I said cowboy hat and boots and he said baseball cap and flip flops. He does wear that a lot-but it is a country concert. :)

Trying to get photos off the screen. So hard to not use flash, but even with they don't turn out that great.

He did such a great job. Love, love, love his songs.

Rockin' away.

I loved when he sang the songs, "We Went Out Last Night" and "Flip Flop Summer"
Someone threw a BSU hat on stage and half way through the concert he put it on. Guess Toby was right. It sure made the crowd happy!

You could see all the sweat from his shirt. It was super hot during the concert and some idiot decided to smoke in the crowd and I thought I was going to be sick. Some people can be so rude!

At the end of the concert, some dumb girl threw her bra onto the stage. They picked it up and dumped it into a bin-I didn't even know what that was until I zoomed in on it! Kenny's tour group start the tour off with an empty bin and just put the bras in it at each concert-- it's already over flowing!!! Gross.
Here are the videos.

This is Lady Antebellum's, "I Run to You" If you don't know the song-it will be hard to follow the clip, but I still liked it.

The second clip is of Kenny Chesney's "Back Where I Come From." Like the before clip, it's hard to understand but watch it. He took photos from around Boise and that made the crowd go wild! He said that the day before the concert they floated the river!!!! How fun would that have been to be on the river at the same time. They spent 3 days in Boise just chillin' and seeing the sights. Hope they had fun.

It was a great concert! Thanks for the date Toby and thanks to Tory and Elizabeth for babysitting our bambino. Who, by the way has finally cut his second tooth and is working on a third......finally.
