FHE

Well, I should say it was Toby's FHE.  We went and got plants for our little garden today and then were going to plant them tonight for Family Home Evening.  When we got home, Harrison needed to eat and the boys were asleep in the car.  So, Toby did all the work!  We didn't have many things to plant and he just got it all done.  Let's hope he wants to do all the work when it comes to weeding it.  :)  We planted tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, strawberries, sweet onions, green onions, cantaloupe, watermelon, (yuck-only for Toby), and green beans.  I still need to get snap peas and some herbs.  Nothing too big or fancy.

Planting some strawberries.  Hope they grow!

 My little green thumb.

We had visitors!  Tory and Elizabeth and the kids stopped by to say hi.  Michelle helped Toby in the garden.  She sure loves to hang out with him.

The twins.  They are growing so fast.  Luke is on the left and Max is on the right.  They turn 5 months tomorrow.

Wes LOVES Tory!  Maybe it's because he gave him ice-cream around the 6 month mark......and still does give him all sorts of sweets.

Dallas wouldn't stay still for two seconds.  Hence this cute, blurry photo.  (don't mind the snot running down his nose....)

A new sandbox!!  Now all we need is sand.  Too bad we can't go to Florida for that nice soft white stuff.  Thanks Lovey for the awesome toy box.

All four of us can play!

We have wild roses in our backyard.  They are pretty, but I'm not looking forward to the bees that will be around all summer.  Or the thorns!

Cute little Michelle.  She'll be 5 this summer!

Ryker.  He just had ice-cream and left some for extras on his face.

My cute little boys.  I had sleeping Blue wrapped up in a carrier so he missed the photo opp.

Hmmm.  Love the D Man's face.

 That's better.

Dallas' very own tomato plant!!  He LOVES tomatoes so he has his very own plant to take care of.  It will be a fun summer.  Hope we get this stuff to grow!!!

Dallas is 3!!!

Happy Birthday Dallas!!!  Can't believe my first baby boy is now three years old.  Guess I can't say I have three under three anymore.  :)

We threw Dallas a small "Cars" party and had a great time.  We invited Ryker (cousin) and two Jacks from our ward.  It was a perfect amount for a crazy mom like me.  We had a blast.  I think I had the most fun decorating and creating things for the party.  I should've done this for a living--I love to come up with fun things to do/decorate/create, but I don't usually love the party part.  I just want to do everything and then not have to attend!  Silly huh.
I got a lot of ideas online and tried to keep it simple.  My favorite was probably the drinks.  I used a gasoline container (new) for the kool-aid and bought cone cups online.  Loved them!  I added vinyl to the cups with the boys' names on them.  It was part of their treat bags.

Enjoy the million photos.
Flo's V8 Cafe.  I printed the sign and stole the poster from the boys' room and put it up on my kitchen wall.  Didn't care that you could see the nails (I took some things down) and the scroll behind.  Trying to be sane not perfect.  :)
Rust-eze's Medicated Kool-Aid and Dinoco Oil

LOVED these cone cups.  Favorite thing from party.
Dinoco Water and Fillmore's Organic Fuel juice.

Made the cake a road in the shape of a "3" and didn't do too bad.  I'm not a cake decorator at all!

Printed a post card of Radiator Springs to use as a welcome sign for the cake.
Dallas got a new Lightening that has his tongue sticking out and he wanted to put that on the cake with his "blue" Mater.

I kept the food simple. We just had a few snacks.  Apple Racers, Grapes, Wheels, Cars fruit snacks and Oreos that were the race car ones.  Then cake.  Simple!

We taped a race track around the loop in our house.  The boys had races around it a million times and that was a big hit.

Dallas had a new shirt to wear for his birthday.  Cars of course!

The boys lined up for a race.  Ryker, Jack, Dallas and Jack.

More decor.  Goody bags on the mantel.  Toby got balloons with Dallas and I put those around the house.  Dallas helped with a bunch of stuff the morning of and I think that he had a lot of fun.  It's so exciting to see them so happy and learning about their birthday and that we're celebrating them!

Welcome to Route 66!  Love having the balloon wreath for all the birthdays.  Toby made fun of me when I made it a few years ago but now he thinks it's cool.  We'll leave it out next week for his birthday too.  :)

Piston Cups for the winners of the races.  Taped a Rust-eze sign to my clock.

We had a Lighting Pinata!  It is a pull string one so they won't be beating anything....I know, no fun.  But-it was supposed to be raining all day and I still wanted to have a pinata.  Luckily the weather cleared up in time for the party so we were able to do a lot of things outside.
Dallas filled the whole thing himself.  He was so proud.

Put my book of Dallas' birth out-read it that night and was reflecting on that big day three years ago.  What a crappy day!  Yes, I got a beautiful baby boy, but man was labor hard and horrible.  Then the whole NICU experience and learning to be a new Mom.  Maybe it was because I have just given birth 17 days ago and labor is still fresh in my mind.  :)  So glad baby 2 and 3 were easy births!!!

Showing off their cone cups.  They were so excited to see their names on them.  Loved their excitement.  Totally made my day.

I look exhausted (which I totally am!!) but I knew I'd want at least one photo of me from his day.

 Showing off the drinks.

This little babe is a stinker.  He slept maybe 20 minutes of the whole party.  The rest of the time he wanted to be held.

The sun came out so we went out!  Getting ready to get candy.

Three year olds make me crazy, but at the same time it is such a fun sweet age.  Loved how happy these guys were.

Ryker giving me the stink eye.  That's because he had just jumped off the slide and landed on his head and got in trouble.  But I can yell at him because I'm his aunt.  :)  Just kidding, he got yelled at because it freaked me out that he jumped off and landed on his head!!!!

 Jack.

Picking up candy and putting it in their bags.

Getting ready to open presents.  Dallas was super excited and so were the boys.  They all wanted to help him open.  And take home what they gave him!  Ha ha.

I tried SO.DANG.HARD to get all 4 boys together and have them smile.  What a joke.  I have a million of these with boys moving in all directions.  Sorry Ryker-this was the best one I got of all of you.  At least I know he's smiling in the back.

He was such a sweet boy all day.  Happy Birthday Dallas!

Jack got him a bubble Mater!  Very cool.

Opening Woody from Lovey, Papa, and the fam.  Very happy to have a partner for Buzz.

Never stop moving boys-Jack and Dallas.  He received a Cars Memory Game and two cars from the movie.

Wes took a nap through the party so no photos of him.  Mean Mom I am.

Eating cake outside.

 Playing games

Our door.

It was a great party!  So glad Dallas had fun.  After the party was over and we were looking at his presents, he leaned to Toby and said, "Today was a fun day!"  He was so kind and would say "Thank You" after you told him Happy Birthday.  I love you little Dude!!
