Helping Mom

Dallas,

You are such a great helper with everything!

Love Mom

Doing the Laundry:

1. Grab the laundry.

2. Check out the clothing and figure out what pile to put it in.

3. Then drop the laundry and repeat!

Quick Photo Shoot

Love this!

We did a mini photo shoot with Tim, Kayla and Maezlie. I wish we would've done a full shoot, but I did get some cute ones! I'll be sending the cd tomorrow.....PROMISE!

Your fam sure is cute!

Hangin' with the fam

We stayed at Tim and Kayla's house while down in Ut--they are always so nice to let us crash their place!
After conference on Sunday, all of Toby's siblings (minus Tory) came to Tim's for a BBQ. There were lots of little kids running around! We had a good time talking and catching up.

Love This!!

Loving this! Cold Play and Taylor Swift. Jon Schmidt is an amazing piano player, we saw him in concert at BYU-Idaho. Love this arrangement! Enjoy.

Lauren and Ben

While in Utah we were able to see our good friends, Lauren and Ben. We met while going to school at BYU-Idaho. Lauren was in a bunch of my English and Education classes. It took us a while to hang out, but once we did--it was a blast! We would go and get ice-cream in the winter and Cold Stone and go camping in 20 degree weather. Fun times.

We haven't seen them since the fall of 06 when they came to Boise for a family reunion. We've tried to get together again, but it hadn't happened. This time, we knew we wanted to see them. Lauren was 9 months pregnant! We were so excited to see her and talk about babies.

We stopped by after the mission reunion (which was a Friday) and spent a good 2 hours catching up and showing off Dallas. Then on Saturday, Ben called to say that Lauren's water broke! WAHOO!! We're going to be able to meet their baby! They decided not to find out what they were having (which is amazing.....I could never do that!) and Erich Benjamin was born early Sunday morning. On Monday, they went home and we were able to stop by and meet little Erich. He is a beautiful baby! I stole this photo off of Lauren's blog. I'm so glad we were able to come and visit you guys and hold your sweet little babe!

Mission Reunion

*** Photo from when we went to Brasil in 2006. We're at the famous Cristo in Rio. We didn't take any photos at the mission reunion.....sad huh!

We went to Utah over Conference weekend to go to Toby's mission reunion. We had such a great time! We were able to see and stay with Toby's family (post on that later) as well as see some friends (post later on that too).
It was so nice to see President and Sister Ringger and hear what they had to say about post mission life. There were SO MANY BABIES! This was crazy because last reunion we went to was in 2002 and there were NO babies, let alone too many people married (we weren't even married yet). It's amazing to see how 6+ years can change things.
We were able to eat yummy Brasilian food (which I love, and made me want to go back to Brasil....just for their delicious food!!!) and talk with a bunch of mission companions and sisters. It's always fun to see what people are doing and how their lives have changed since the mission field.
I am so grateful that Toby served an honorable mission to Rio de Janeiro, Brasil and that he has taught me to love that country and it's people. I have a special place in my heart for that beautiful place!

Quick Trip Home

The fam couldn't stand it anymore and so we made a trip home to visit. It was just a quick trip, too short if you ask me! Dallas was in heaven with all his aunts taking care of him and playing non stop. Mom posted more photos on her blog, so check them out. Thanks for bringing me home Mom and Dad! It was a well needed trip.

Grandma Love and Papa Muddy

We made a birthday cake for Megan. She turned 12 on April 5. It's a monkey cake, too cute!

Happy 12th Megan!

While home, I helped Megan and Mom plan her birthday party. She decided on a "Spy" theme and it was sooo cute! I wish I would've been there for the party, but went home the day before. Good thing Mom posted, because it sure looked like a fun party!

I can't believe you're already 12 Megs! Happy Birthday to you!

Wedding!

I stole this photo from Heather's blog.....

Heather and Brandon tied the knot on March 21 and we were able to go to the wedding and all the festivities. Heather and Brandon were in the Singles Ward when Toby was in the Bishopric. We love these guys! I was able to take their engagements and they are truly an awesome couple.

The wedding reception was beautiful and our good friend Heidi and her mom made all the food. It was SO DANG GOOD! She is such a good cook and her mom is too! It was fun to see a lot of our friends from the Singles ward and spend the evening celebrating and eating. (that's always a plus)

This is Heidi. We love her and her awesome cooking skills!

The beautiful cake that Heidi made. IT WAS ALL REAL!!! I am super sad when people do fake wedding cakes. I know it's less expensive, but I LOVE real wedding cake.

Photo decor

Our gift to them, a bucket full of junk! What a great present! This was Toby's idea and it sure was fun to put together.
We're so happy for them! What a beautiful day.

St. Pat's Day

For St. Patrick's day, we did everything green and made yummy cupcakes! We headed up the hospital to visit Michelle who had a bad case of the flu. She was able to go home a few days later. We love having family close by but not in the hospital! We didn't have Corned Beef and Cabbage (a certain someone doesn't like it....he must not be Irish!) but we did have a fun day. I love celebrating my Irish heritage and eating yummy food!

Posting so soon?!?

It's been too long since I've sat down and posted--and I still don't have the time!

I'll be posting soon, and there will be lots of them too.

Until then, here's two photos to make you smile---or want to give him a hair cut (which we did).

March Madness

One of the doctors that Toby works with gave us tickets to go and see the morning session of NCAA games. We went to the Marquette vs. Utah and Missouri vs. Cornell. Now, I am NOT A FAN of basketball (unless it's Gonzaga) but since Toby loves it, I was glad to go along for a family outing. Dallas did really good considering it was during his morning nap time. He would get nervous when everyone would yell, but then he would clap his hands once he realized it was okay. Cute little babe. We were there for most of the day and it was fun to spend time as a family.

Don't mind the super close up-this time I took it! We weren't allowed to use flash either-so it's a little dark.

Leap Frog Happiness!

Check out how happy this kid looks! Guess he needed some toys with noise. He loves to pull himself up and try and walk around this toy.

He makes this face all the time--what a funny kid!

Consignment Deals

Dallas and I went bright and early last Thursday morning the Moppet Togs Consignment sale and we did pretty good! IT WAS CRAZY with all these woman and their babes. I wish Toby would've been there to help me look for stuff. I had the stroller, so it was tough to look through clothes, but I did get some toys that I was looking for. Glad I went, and he loves the Leap Frog Learning Center.

Children's Consignment Sale!

found out about this from my sis-in-law......I'll be going tomorrow morning to see if I can get any good deals!!

Moppet Togs

This weekend you have the opportunity to SCORE amazing deals for your children's needs: Clothes, Shoes, Gear, Furniture, Toys, Decor- you name it! Moppet Togs is the Treasure Valley's Premier Children's Consignment Sale.

8001 West Fairview Avenue, Boise Shopko Plaza at Fairview and Milkwaukee

Fri, March 20th 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sat, March 21st (Most things HALF OFF) 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Moppet Togs sells HIGH QUALITY items- no stains or holes. Much higher quality then the local consignment shops. Crawling like a mad man

Oh what will it be like when he's walking!?!? He is a cruiser, and a fast one too. I'll put him down, turn around to do something and he's already gone. He sure loves to move and is dying to walk. He'll try to pull himself up an ANYTHING! We don't have much space for him to move in our tiny apartment, so I try to head to the park on a daily basis. That's a good thing for me.

He loves to play will all the toys and make such a big mess!
This is a favorite photo of mine. I will sometimes catch him lying on the floor looking at his books. He loves to read books with me and I cherish those moments. I hope he likes to read when he gets older! (side note--I got Toby to read a book.....a 345 page book!!!! He's starting to like them.....but he won't admit it.)
Last Wednesday, we headed to a basketball game for a going away party for a co-worker of Toby's. It was okay (not a basketball fan.....) and we saw some of our friends, Annie and Heidi so that was fun. Check out what Toby did-he took a photo of me and Dallas! See, I'm not the only one who takes the photos. I sometimes forget to hand the camera over.....better start doing that more often.

After dinner. He is playing with a toy that was mine when I was little. It's a Glow Bug. Remember those??

What's up with his reddish/orange nose?!?! I CAN'T get rid of it! I've cut out all red/orange foods from his diet and he still looks like a pale carrot. Plus, he's not sick anymore. I was hoping it would go away after he got better. Now, I'm getting annoyed. Any suggestions!??!?!

Dallas is crawling!

We finally got video of Dallas crawling. He is super fast and will go anywhere! He loves to go to places he's not allowed--silly boy.

Monday, March 9, 2009

quick hi

We've been busy spring cleaning--and I mean cleaning! I am so sick of being sick, so I have been cleaning every crook and cranny of my house.
The weather has suckethed big time. SNOW!!! Go away....I am waiting impatiently for spring.
Dallas is now crawling and getting into EVERYTHING. I turn my back for two seconds and he's crawling off somewhere. He loves the outlets. We bought those cover things but he still goes after them.
I'll be posting a video of him crawling soon. My sisters and mom have been dying to see him. So check back Megs! I'll post one this week.

offended

The Offended:Notice his sick little eyes and nose.....we're STILL fighting a cold. I just got a new one today....can't seem to beat this!

The Offender:
I usually make my own baby food, but I do have these as back ups for days I don't have any made. Apparently he doesn't like Macaroni & Beef with Vegetables.....who knew?
This made it all better:
He does like this kind! Note to self: buy more Ham, Pineapple & Rice....just to please the boy.

How mean of mommy to feed me something I don't like!

Puke and Pizza

I HATE PUKE!
We went out to dinner with some friends on Saturday night and had a great time.....until I was holding Dallas and he decided to puke all over my shirt. Yes, I may be a mother--but that doesn't mean that I can handle bodily fluids. This is why I am not a nurse. I about died. The smell was so nasty and I thought I was going to throw up too! That ended our fun evening out.
Still it was a fun night out on the town. We went to Old Chicago Pizza with Jothan, Renee, Heather and Brandon. Heather and Brandon tie the knot on the 21st and we're so happy for them and are excited for the wedding. I was able to take their engagement photos and Heather posted a bunch to see on her blog. As you can see, Dallas is still sick with his red nose. He hates it when we take the nose-sucker-upper and get his snot out. Oh well, he is still happy.

Classic photo of us. Glad Toby has long arms and that the photo is in focus! It was a great night out on the town. Just what I needed!

Happy Sunday. Love this video from the Relief Society. Such a good reminder of what we, as women are capable of doing!
