I LOVE having a porch all decked out for the holidays. I grew up with a house always decorated for the holidays and have continued that tradition. It has been so fun to be in a house with a porch (even though we're still renting.....)
I love my corn stalks and hay and the fact the the pumpkins are from MY GARDEN!!!!
My orange burlap wreath has been my favorite creation this season. I will keep it up all fall and add a Thanksgiving sign to it.
Such a cool tree. Found it at Khols. And I am loving being able to cut out things on my cricut. This was a cute little spider and web that I cut for my lantern.
Orange pillows from the DI and placemat made into pillows from Khols.
Cute little lights that I put up for trick-or-treaters. Too bad we didn't get any. Not a single one. Boo.
We've all been sick so I opted for no cooking. Toby brought home a pumpkin pizza. Didn't get a photo before he had cut into it, but you can still see the face.
Off to trick-or-treat. I was a half witch/half pj's. This is the best shot we got. The boys are not liking when I pull out my camera!
Off we went to a few houses. Where we live---they are mostly older people. So not to many houses had candy. The few that did we were so grateful that we would stop by with our kids. We are the only family on our block that has kids. One elderly lady asked us to come in her house! Her husband in confined to a chair in the living room and couldn't see us at the door. Very sad to see so I was grateful to share my family with him. They were so kind and nice.
The boys had a fun time walking around the block. Since we didn't get ANY trick-or-treaters, they had a ton of candy at home waiting for them.
Another FAV craft this year. Googly Eyed bracelet! So easy and fun to make. Found the inspiration off of Pinterest and the blog called, Sometimes Creative. Too cute. Love when people share their fun creations.
sweet pooh bear
Came home and carved our pumpkins. How fun to see things grown from your garden. They were awesome! We let the boys create their own designs and then we cut them out. Totally laid back Halloween and it was perfect.
I ended up roasting the seeds and they were so yummy!!
Don't eat the guts dad!!!
Poor Blue always gets pushed around.
Very fun and relaxing Halloween! It was spooktacular! :)

Halloween Baking
Started the Halloween morning off with pumpkin pancakes! The kids thought they were so cool. I just dyed the bisquick orange and then made a face with mini chocolate chips. However, the kids wanted more chips so the faces turned out a little like spotted pumpkins. :)
Will this kid ever smile normal??? I love his little "cheese" face, but want to see those big brown eyes!!!
Little later, I put Wes and Blue down for a nap and Dallas and I got to decorate cookies! Toby and my Mom would be massively proud of me---I let Dallas do most of it with no interfering. He made a mess, and put waaaaaay too many sprinkles on, but he was so happy. Good "mom" moment for me.
A few of our creations.
Not sure how much frosting got on the cookies vs. his mouth.
tried my hand at spiderweb cookies. Would've like to make more, but someone used all of the black frosting while I was tending to the baby......won't name names......
D mans work station. Enough said. :)
It was a fun morning and a good way to start our Halloween day.

Saturday Halloween Festivities
Went to Boo at the Zoo. It was nuts-think this will be our last year. Too many people and they only gave out one piece of candy. I'd rather buy $14 worth of candy and go to the zoo on a different day. This is our only photo of the day. We happened to see Winnie the Pooh and grabbed a photo with him. Personally, MY Winnie the Pooh was much cuter!
Luckily I've gotten a photo of the boys already--never did try and take a better one. They are nuts.
The Wes man was not in the mood to take photos. But you can see my sweet eye makeup. It was a lot more than I normally wear. (okay-A LOT more. I never wear makeup unless I'm going to church. too lazy and busy)
My super cute Piglet. This little costume was my sister Melissa's when she was a baby. I bought him pink pants-wonder if that will be the only pink I'll ever buy for my kids!

Orange Burlap Wreath
LOVE this wreath. Such a messy pain in the butt to make, but it turned out great. And I'll be keeping it up all fall too. I'll add a different sign once Halloween is over. Love making things!

Fabric/Ribbon Rosettes
Have a friend who is going through chemo so I made her this sign. Tried my hand at doing the rosettes that you see popping up everywhere. They turned out pretty good! The purple one is made from ribbon and then white one was from an old t-shirt. There are tutorials everywhere on the internet. Think I'll make some more!

happy scary halloween
Don't think I need any captions for these-just know that Piglet's ears were missing, and Tigger and Pooh needed naps desperately......guess I'll try again later.

Ghost Pretzels
Dallas and I made a treat while the other boys were napping. We made Ghost Pretzels! They were super easy and yummy.
We also made a few spider webs. Once the white chocolate hardened, you could pick them up and it stayed together.
Cute little ghost.
Here's what we used to make our snacks.
I just put some white choc. chips in a baggie and melted them in hot water. It was a little thick so I added just a tiny bit of Crisco and that seemed to help.
Our creations. Notice some of our ghosts have many eyes and our spiderweb has lots of spiders.
They sure were a yummy treat!

Mummy Shirts with Googly Eyes
Yup-got to love Pinterest. Dare I say it's better than blog hopping?!?! Yup.
A Little Tipsy created ADORABLE Halloween shirts and shared a tutorial too!!! I had all the supplies on hand and when my mom was in town, she helped me make them for Dallas and Wes.
They were so easy to make. It didn't take us long to make them and it was a lot of fun to do.
My cute mom holding one of the shirts.
We used hot glue for the eyes.
Done!
Cute boys. I love to do crafts and am so grateful for those who are willing to share their talents! Thanks A Little Tipsy!
