Cars 2

We have been trying to help Dallas have the desire to go potty in the toilet.  We've begged, pleaded, bribed and so forth with no avail. 
We have promised him Cars from the Movie Cars, going to see Cars 2 in the theater, dinner and Chuck-E-Cheese's, stuff-you name it.

Well, he finally decided he wanted to try and ended up going three times on Tuesday.  So, last night we took him to see Cars 2.  It was a blast.  We had some friends from Toby's work babysit Harrison and off we went.  We went out to eat and then to the movies and then to ice-cream!! 

I am hoping we are on our way to being potty trained.  I do love how easy it is to have kids in diapers though.  I think my toilet is going to be super clean these next few days.....err years I mean.

They're just babies

 Sometimes I forget that I have 2 babies.  Wesley is only 18 months old.  That's still babyhood in my book.  We lounged around this morning and played in our jammies.  I don't bask in this stage of motherhood as much as I should.  Soon I'll be hurrying them off to some sports practice or school or the ER for some emergency!

 Two babies who love their paci's.  We have rule the they must be gone by age two and we're slowly working on Wes'.  They both love burp cloths and sleeping with their butts up in the air.  Too bad I won't let Harrison always sleep on his belly!  He probably would sleep though the night if I did let him. 

My sweet little Wes.  I sure love you.  Being a middle kid is hard I've heard so I'll take extra care of you.  Thanks for being my little buddy.

8 Weeks

Such a wonderful thing to wake up too.  My whole house shaking......thank you workers.

Didn't bug this kid either.  He was happy as could be watching the construction from the windows.

Looks like it only bugged ME!  I actually like to be able to hear things and have my house not shake!!!!!

And I find this hilarious.  Thank you workers for eating your lunch on my lawn.  Hope you enjoyed the shade.  You did scare the crap out of me when I walked into my living room.  I didn't expect to see 6 men sitting in my grass.

 Toby snapped these photos before he left for work.  Hmmmm.....no wonder we need a new bed!  There is always a kid in our bed at some point in the night/early morning.

 This time it was Dallas who came in at 5 and snuggled in with me.  I was too tired to take him back to his own bed.  Then a little later, Harrison woke up to eat so I pulled him in bed with us too. 

Once Toby was up for work, I pushed the two kids over to his side and we must of all fallen back to sleep because at 6:30 when Toby was leaving he grabbed the camera.  Too bad once he left I was up for the day! 

Singles Ward gets together

Dallas, Chris, Ashlie, Toby, Tam, Jothan and Jared.  We were missing LeeAnn (Jared's wife) and Heather and Brandon.

 When Toby was going to grad school, we served in a singles ward and made some great friends.  Ashlie and Chris were in town for a few days so we got together at Jothan's for dinner and good times.  We missed a few people and Heather and Brandon left before we could get them in the photo.  Fun was had by all and it was great to catch up with one another.

Ashlie is a great friend and she is now a nurse!  We're hoping they move back to Boise in a few years so we can see them more often.

Fireworks!!!

We went to Camels Back park to see the fireworks with the Parkinson's.  They are in our ward and Toby works with Mark in the YM Presidency.  I get to serve David and Harriet the two youngest in the Primary.  We had a lot of fun being on top of the hill and you could see the whole valley and all the fireworks that were going off.

We came home and did a few of our own.

We tried.  How did Wes keep his eyes open???  And we totally forgot about Harrison.  He was on my lap but I didn't think to hold him up.  He probably wouldn't of liked it.

And little Blue slept through it all.

4th of July goodies

 We decided to make a few treats to celebrate the 4th.  I made some cupcakes to take to the Parkinson's when we went to watch the fireworks.  Made them look like the flag-they were cute and super yummy.

My sister in law Elizabeth told us about a fun dessert and we decided to copy her.  Strawberries, white chocolate and blue sparkles.  Red, white and blue!  CUTE!!!

They were so dang good.  Even Toby liked them and he isn't a big fan of white chocolate.

Wes was the taste tester.  I later found out he had tried over half of the strawberries and then put them back.....so you can guess what treat we DIDN'T take to watch the fireworks.

It's a 4th of July Parade!

 Fun, HOT, and the boys LOVED the cars.  Good times was had by the all.  After we went and had a picnic and took naps.  I weeded the garden.  Quiet 4th of July afternoon.
