Vinyl Substitute

Haven't bought white vinyl yet and I needed it for this project--but I read somewhere that white contact paper works as a good substitute (as long as you're not using it for outside stuff or washing it) and I had that on hand and tada-a cute little sign. 

Found the sign at Hobby Lobby.  It had a white middle and red outlines but I didn't like that so I just painted the whole thing red.  Cut out some cute lettering from my cricket and stuck it on. 

Fun little project that literally took less than 5 minutes!

Throwing up Felt

 Decided to make a few more felt rosette balls.  Love the white ones.  They turned out so pretty.  Had a little bit more red so I made a small ball.  I love Valentine's Day.

how I'm feeling

Went to the dentist this morning and had to take both boys with me.  Toby was going to stay home and go into work later, but couldn't get off. 

Had to be there at 7:30.  It was 10 degrees.......

enough said.

Steelers Stencil

Decided to make another shirt.  This time I went with the Steelers.  Have few crafts I'm working on this week with that same theme.....must be on my mind.  :)  Getting excited to watch the game on Sunday.  It will be a game of defense I think.  Anyways---

I made the stencil without really measuring the shirt and it turned out a bit too big.  Oh well.  I still had fun making it and Dallas looks super cute.

Here is what it looks like with the stencil on the shirt. I am waiting (very impatiently) for it to dry before I peel off the stencil.  That's the fun part-seeing your creation come alive (and hoping the stencil actually stuck to the shirt!).

He's a stud.  Love this little man.  Unless he's up at 3:30 like last night.  Wide awake and wanting me to hold him.  I sent him to his Dad's side. :)

Mom and Dad

While we stayed with Michelle, Tory ran down to the NICU to see Elizabeth and the babes.  I told him to take the camera and have someone take photos of them TOGETHER with their babies.  Glad he doesn't mind me bossing him around.  :)

Such strong parents.  It was so hard to have both Dallas and Wes in the NICU when they were born, but we have never had to juggle three let alone two kids in the hospital at the same time!!!  They sure have been bouncing back and forth trying take care of all their children.  I'm glad I get to help out when possible and take Ryker.  He feels comfortable at my house and it's always a party when you get the cousins together. 

Cute little fam.  Now they all need to hurry and get better and get home to be a family of 6!!!!

Michelle

 Nothing new to report on Michelle-they are waiting for the swelling to come down and for her to recover from surgery and all the meds she needed.  She is such a trooper.  I am amazed at how happy she is despite all that she has been through.

We were able to spend some time with her and helped Tory give her a quick bath.  It was great to comb through a little girls hair!!!!  She has the softest hair and it was fun to play with it.  Glad that she's slowly getting better.  Hope she gets to come home soon.

Look who's 1 month old!!

We went up to the hospital on Sunday to visit Michelle and the boys.  They are now one month old!!! I brought home a piece of paper with stats and info on it, but for the life of me can't find it anywhere.   So, maybe Elizabeth can fill in the details. 

They are doing well and working on getting nursing down.  They hope to have the tubes out by this week and *maybe* head home towards this weekend or early next week.  They are still super small (I think Luke is only 5 something and can't remember if Max has even hit the 5 lb mark!) but are strong little boys.  It was so fun to see them.  They are starting to look more like babies rather than little old cute men.  :)

Scripture Power Football!

On the 5th Sunday, there is no specific topic for Sharing Time in Primary.  I usually follow the Primary Outline but this past Sunday, I browsed on line for different ideas.  Since football is on every one minds---here is what I found!  Scripture Bowl!  I found it on Little LDS Ideas.  Loved the idea so I got to work creating my own.  I decided to have it be Scripture Power Football so we could play it on more than one Sunday.  I based my questions off of some of hers that she had made and tailored them to fit our Primary.  They were questions that dealt with all of The Standard Works, individual scripture hero's, primary songs and so forth.  Each team had a chance to score a touch down and moved the ball down the field by answering the questions correctly and then moving the amount of yards printed on the card.   

I made the poster using SCAL and my Cricket and Toby drew the yard lines for me.  The football is movable and I had fun creating the field. 

Primary went wonderfully!  I think the kids really loved the game.  One team was named The Steelers :) and the other team choose The Nephites as their name.  We ran out of time and will have to play again. The kids did pretty good on the questions!

Latter Day Liahona

I serve in the Primary Presidency and therefore get to teach Sharing Time about two times a month.  We were talking about how the scriptures are like a latter day Liahona.  They can help guide us and also teach us of what we need to be doing.  So here is the 13th ward's Liahona! 

It was pretty fun to make considering I started close to midnight.  :)  I used a styrofoam ball and pipe cleaner and then spray painted it all gold  I also put two spindles so it would look like Lehi's.  Not too bad.  The kids loved it!

I miss teaching sometimes so I'm glad I get to teach in Primary.  I love these kids!

McCall Part 3

 Friday night they had a big kick off for the festival.  We went and watch the fireworks and had a great night.  It was PACKED!!!  I was amazed at how many people come up to tiny McCall for this festival.  I guess last year they had around 50,000 people show up for the week.  Crazy.  We bought Dallas a light sword.  He's fighting the dragons.

Last sculpture- the men are fishing and they caught Sharlie's tail.  Little did they know Sharlie was about to attack them!

We had a fabulous time.  No agenda, no time frame--just chillin' as a family.  Swimming and snow-a great combo!
